Depending on the age of the foundation and the condition of the crack, it may be possible to perform a Urethane Injection. Urethane remains flexible following curing, unlike rigid epoxies. However, not all cracks should be injected and while cost effective, Urethane Injection does not have the life expectancy of "Crack Stitching".
The process typically begins with the crack being sealed on the inside surface to help contain the resin once it is injected. Next, a series of holes are drilled at a 45 degree angle in order to intersect the crack inside the wall. High pressure packers are inserted into the holes to allow the injection pump to be connected. Once water is introduced into the crack, the injection of the urethane resin begins. Typical injection pressure varies between 1500 and 2000 PSI. The injection starts at the bottom of the crack and proceeds from packer to packer until the entire crack is filled.
